DESCRIPTION:FREE and OPEN TO THE PUBLIC! \nThis is an excellent opportunity for community members to engage with our conservation efforts and learn about sustainable practices.  This event would feature a variety of activities\, informational booths\, and resources focused on community resources around conservation. \nThe Conservation Fair will consist of:\n Exhibitors geared toward conservation (see below tentative list)\n Small Workshops (DEC\, Soil & Water)\n Community Handouts\n Specific Raffle Item- Butterfly Bush\n Godfrey’s Membership table\n Sign up sheets for Pond conservation projects\n Conservation pledge cards\n Table with pic of the Pond’s past conservation projects\n Display on the biodiversity of the Pond – our plants\, trees\, animals\, fish\, birds\, etc.\n Hunter Ed table with sign-up sheet for classes\n Kids Korner Activities –\n–  Plant sunflowers to take home\n–  Facepainting (natural\, organic facepaint)\n–  Scavenger hunt handouts\n–  Re-cycle activity\n–  Conservation Kids workbook\n–  Conservation pledge cards \n Tree Seedling Giveaway (1 per family)\n Breakfast Pizza\, Coffee\, Juice\, Water (Donations welcome!) \nPossible Exhibitors:\n NYS Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC)\n USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (Batavia)\n Genesee County 4-H Club\n GLOW Region Solid Waste\n Batavia Community Garden\n Dairy Farm (Sweeney’s?)\, Petting calf at Kids Korner\n Genesee Feeds\n Genesee County Soil & Water District\n Homeowners: Lowes\, Home Depot\, Garden Centers\, Tractor Supply (baby chicks?) \n \n
