Christmas in July: A Festive Celebration!

Christmas in July is a delightful concept that brings the joy and warmth of the holiday season to the summer months. The idea originated in the United States at a girls’ camp, where a spark of creativity and enthusiasm for Christmas led to a mid-year celebration. This whimsical tradition allows people to experience the magic and wonder of Christmas, even when it’s not the official holiday season.
At Godfrey’s Pond, Christmas in July is a special time for the community to come together and revel in the excitement and wonder of the Christmas season. We invite residents and campers to participate in a week of festive activities and create a joyous atmosphere for all to enjoy.
On Saturday, July 26, we have a series of exciting events planned for the whole family:
• 1:00 p.m. – Christmas Craft at the Pond Waterfront: Join us for a fun crafting session where you can create festive decorations and keepsakes.
• 3:00 p.m. – Christmas Caroling and Cocoa: Gather at the Clubhouse to begin a merry session of caroling, singing Christmas tunes, and ending at Camp B Pavilion with a cup of cocoa and cookies.
– Time TBD – Contest judging of Christmas decor!
