FREE and OPEN TO THE PUBLIC!
This is an excellent opportunity for community members to engage with our conservation efforts and learn about sustainable practices. This event would feature a variety of activities, informational booths, and resources focused on community resources around conservation.
The Conservation Fair will consist of:
Exhibitors geared toward conservation (see below tentative list)
Small Workshops (DEC, Soil & Water)
Community Handouts
Specific Raffle Item- Butterfly Bush
Godfrey’s Membership table
Sign up sheets for Pond conservation projects
Conservation pledge cards
Table with pic of the Pond’s past conservation projects
Display on the biodiversity of the Pond – our plants, trees, animals, fish, birds, etc.
Hunter Ed table with sign-up sheet for classes
Kids Korner Activities –
– Plant sunflowers to take home
– Facepainting (natural, organic facepaint)
– Scavenger hunt handouts
– Re-cycle activity
– Conservation Kids workbook
– Conservation pledge cards
Tree Seedling Giveaway (1 per family)
Breakfast Pizza, Coffee, Juice, Water (Donations welcome!)
