What Is Conservation?
It’s a big word for sure, but what does it mean? It means to take care of the world around you.
Conservation means not throwing garbage out the car window and not putting chemicals in the water. It’s even more though. To be a conservationist you need to know about the world around you. How can you take care of things you don’t know about?
Do you know what a rabbit eats? Or how a turtle breathes under the ice during the winter? What is the difference between a squirrel nest and a bird nest? Do you know the scoop on poop? Eww! Why would they do that?
Together we are going to learn all these answers and more! We are going to investigate all the plants, animals, birds, fish and bugs here at the Pond. We will learn how to better take care of all of them and what we can each do to make sure the Pond stays beautiful, natural space we can enjoy.
Learn more as we work through each session with the schedule below. We look forward to seeing you! Questions? Contact Director, Kandi Lehsten at kml9870@gmail.com.
